NHS Collars for Graduation


Seniors who are members of NHS can buy their NHS collars for graduation in room 2323. The cost is $22.00 cash or check.

Non Returning Students


Students not returning next school year must complete and turn in a non returning form and turn it into the registrars office at the front of the building.

2013 End of the Year Textbook and Calculator Collection and Late Fees
May 30, 2013 is the last day to return checked out sports equipment, library materials, club fundraiser money, class issued books (such as English readers, etc) or pay outstanding fines (textbooks, parking, etc) to be exempt from finals.

Students Return Textbooks/Calculators Students can return textbooks to the Upstairs Library (Science Side) May 28 June 4, 2013 7AM 2:45PM June 5 June 6, 2013 7AM 12PM During Final Exams June 3-6, 2013 Textbooks and calculators will be collected in the classroom during the exam periods.

All Lockers Must Be Cleaned Out Prior to 7:30AM on Thursday, June 6, 2013 There will be a $10 fine for textbooks and calculators found in lockers during locker clean out or found in classrooms after the last day of school.

All Textbooks Must Be Returned to School by Thursday, June 6, 2013, 12PM Seniors should have all textbooks/fines cleared before graduation. Final transcripts will be held until textbooks are returned and fines are paid. Students not cleared will be unable to check out textbooks next year until textbooks/fines have been cleared

ACADEMIC DECATHLON INFO


If you are taking the Academic Decathlon Class next year, or if you are interested in taking the class next year, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 28th from 2:40-3:00 in room 1323. Next years topic and summer reading will be on the agenda. Also, current and former decathlon students will give new students advice and answer questions. And, there will be cookies.

BOOK FINES
Fines (starting June 17, 2013) $1.00 per day/per book late fee up to $20 per book. Beginning July 29, 2013, full price will be charged for books not returned. Locker clean out will be June 6th beginning at 7:30AM. $10 fine for books abandoned in lockers or found elsewhere in the building. damage

Graduation
2013 Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 9:00am at the Toyota Center. This date is scheduled pending Toyota Center availability based on the National Basketball Association (NBA) playoff schedule.

NOTICE
The EOC assessments will NOT count as 15% of a students final grade for this year. Note: This change involves freshman and sophomore students taking EOC assessments. Current juniors and seniors remain under TAKS assessment requirements, not EOC.

Final Exam Exemption Information 2013 Spring Exemption Policy


Grade 9 & 10 No Exemptions Exemptions 11 and 12 Grades Eligible for exemption in all classes Minimum 2100 score on exit-level TAKS Minimum grade of 80 for semester 2 average No more than (4) absences in each class during spring semester 3 tardies = one absence Students absence of up to two (2) days for visiting a college or university may be considered as an exemption, provided the student:1. Receives prior approval from the campus principal2. Follows the campus procedures to verify such a visit3. Makes up any work missed (HB2542) Students may not have a removal to DAEP/JJAEP on their discipline record Students may not have outstanding fees or fines
