POINT ODERING CIRCUIT. Actuate for both auto route setting and manual operation. Use of magnetically latch relay to act as a memory during power failure case (as the PIs are of push button type). Track locking achieved during ordering of points.
Provision of operation of points during point zone track circuit failure. Prevention of ordering the points when it is engaged with other conflicting routes (may be set or initiated). Crank handle locking incorporated only during auto route setting leaving for manual operation for easy maintenance. Latching/delatching circuit is provided with double cutting features.

Protection against picking up of detection relays against cable fault condition. Separate tail cable to prevent unsafe situation during multi-cable fault/damage. Extension of track locking not provided in operating circuit as point may stop in mid position if track circuit fails during operation.
Economy of relays by introducing the relay NLBPR / RLBPR. Provision of individual point contactor relay for each end prevents the unwanted unlocking of the point during parallel operation of both end. Cross protection of contactor relay provided against false feed. Separate point locking relay provided instead of locking by approach lock relay.
Another heavy duty contactor relay is to be used affecting the economy. Extra requirement of cable core for generating repeater of WLR & EWNR at Location Box. Maximum relay wiring involves at Location Box. The total enhancement of safety depends upon the relay named TPZR. The integrity of TPZR relay is nowhere proved in interlocking and hence if it is forcefully picked up, then normal working will not be disturbed but total expenditure / sophistication against the abnormal working of TPR and operation of point under lock condition will become null and void.
no. of keys may not be advisable because this operation is very rare and will be performed under abnormal condition. So, individual timedelay for each crank handle group may be continued. This is not affecting the economy. As per Eastern Railway practice, the cross protection against false feed on the contactor relays will take care. As per Eastern Railway practice, the emergency operation of point is provided.
24 Volt Siemens contactor unit used. Cross protection against false feed in 110 V DC circuit provided. Local control feeding for point drive. Crank Handle contact used in Detection Circuit in stead of 110 V circuit. Detection Circuit is Cross protected during operation. Driving Relays (WNPR/WRPR) is not cross protected.
Latch relay (NWR/RWR) used as a substitute of point switch / lever for push button panel. Emergency operation of point under track fail condition provided. Holding time of WJR relay is adjusted to 200% of normal operating time. The contactor relay (NWPR/RWPR) have been provided with active cross protection. Mid stroke facility provided. Separate tail cable used to prevent unwanted situation during multiple cable fault. Contactor relay (NWPR/RWPR) provided with double cutting. NLBPR/RLBPR relay generated to economise the interlocking. Correspondence of latch relay proved in detection circuit. Simultaneous feed to both latch relay is prevented to prevent hunting. Separate contactor relay for each end provided to prevent the unwanted situation created during parallel operation.
