Expression of psychological tendency It is closely related to behavior It has 3 components

It is the emotional component of attitude

It is measured by observing behavior

Cognition
It reflects a persons perception or beliefs

COGNITIVE DISSONANCE
We prefer consistency between attitude and behavior Conflict between attitude and behavior is cognitive dissonance.

WORK PLACE DEVIANCE BEHAVIOR (WDB)


Any voluntary counter productive behavior that violates organizational norms and causes harm to its functioning Dissatisfied employees Lack of person-organization fit Due to lay-off , technological changes.

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AND JOB


SATISFACTION
The strength of an individuals identification with an organization

TYPES:
1. Affective commitment- stong desire to remain in organisation 2. Continuous commitment-cant afford to leave the organisation 3. Normative commitment-feeling to remain in the organisation.

EMOTIONAL CONTAGION
A dynamic process through which the emotions of one person are transferred to another, either consciously or unconsciously. Primarily occurs through non-verbal channels. Mimicry Affects job involving interpersonal interaction
