Dictionary Meaning Management is the process of dealing with or controlling things or people.

Management in all business and organizational activities is the act of coordinating the efforts of people, to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively.

SCIENTIFIC MANAGEMENT BY TAYLOR


1) Replace rule of thumb work methods with methods based on a scientific study of the tasks. 2) Scientifically select, train, and develop each employee rather than passively leaving them to train themselves. 3) Provide Detailed instruction and supervision of each worker in the performance of that worker's discrete task. 4) Divide work nearly equally between managers and workers, so that the managers apply scientific management principles to planning the work and the workers actually perform the tasks.

1) Division of Work When employees are specialized, output can increase because they become increasingly skilled and efficient.

7) Remuneration Employee satisfaction depends on fair remuneration for everyone. This includes financial and non financial compensation.
