27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works (Matt. 16).
27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works (Matt. 16). Note the apparent contradiction: verse 21 (be killed). The verse also contains: raised again. Jesus himself is coming again: Acts 1: 11; I John 3: 2, Jesus was raised, not a phantom (I Cor. 15).
27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works (Matt. 16). Glory denotes the splendor (cp. John 1: 14, Matt. 25: 31, Heb. 2: 9, cp. 1: 3). Angels are ministering spirits (Heb. 1: 14, Matt. 13: 24-30, 36-43, 25: 31-33).
27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works (Matt. 16). Could Jesus be teaching the necessity of works unto salvation?
We believe that works of any kind are not at all even involved in mans eternal security. Salvation is wholly of grace, resting only on Jesus death and his perfect works.Works are absent in the salvation of the individual.
Conclusion:
27: And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28: Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29: And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5; Rev. 22: 20, 21)).
