INTEGRATIVE THEORY

PERSONALITY THEORIES
TRAIT THEORY Goldon Allport, the most popular trait theorist, saw that traits are broad or general guides that lend consistency to behavior. When all these traits are combined, they form an individuals personality

PERSONALITY THEORIES
PSYCHODYNAMIC THEORY Sigmund Freud, the most prominent figure in psychodynamic theory. It emphasizes the unconscious determinants of behavior. He conceptualized the theory based on the interaction of the , ego, and superego. The id is the impulsive, primitive element that operates in an uncensored manner. The id is considered the child figure, acting on impulses.

PERSONALITY THEORIES
PSYCHODYNAMIC THEORY The ego is the adult figure. The superego, contains the shoulds and should nots of personality. It acts as the parent figure of the personality. Sometimes the ego and superego clash resulting to conflict. The ego compromises using defense mechanisms to justify a behavior (e.g. denial, suppression, repression).

PERSONALITY THEORIES
HUMANISTIC THEORY This is the personality theory that emphasizes individual growth and improvement. Carl Rogers, the leading theorist in humanistic theory believed that all people have a basic drive toward self-actualization. This theory contends that the self-concept is an integral part of an individuals personality.

PERSONALITY THEORIES
INTEGRATIVE THEORY This approached describes personality as a combination of an individuals psychological make up. A persons personality based on his psychological structure includes his emotions, cognition attitudes, expectations, dreams and fantasies.

She is a great boss and even people our team look to her for advice, motivation, and answers. She praises our smallest achievements, points out our mistakes without making a big deal, and listens and helps if we are struggling with something. Unlike most bosses, she recognizes that the personal affects the professional

His enthusiasm is contagious. People enjoy working for him because he isn't jaded or cynical. He inspires people to work harder. His judgment is respected by both his staff and his supervisors. He is loyal to the company, yet not afraid to speak his mind.

He has a fanatic ability to listen to criticism and act positively on that criticism. He is good at selecting the right person for the job, and is genuinely liked by his colleagues. He inspires confidence and brings out the best in people. He is good at working as part of a large team with many conflicting ideas and agendas. Its fun to be at work when he is the boss.

He comes across as combative and abrasive to other departments and staff. There are times he fails to share his wealth of knowledge with his staff and if he is not available for help it can cause problems.

He doesn't share important details with employees in a timely manner. Too many announcements start with, Youve probably heard by now that, and no, I havent heard anything.

I understand the pressure he has, but thats no excuse to treat some people like crap.

You will be judged by your actions, not by your words, and your actions set the example for your team to follow

TWO CHOICES

BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND

Things are created twice in this world-first in the mind and then physically. If you want to achieve success, create it in your mind. Make a blue print of your own success-think of your dreams in realistic terms. Write down your plans and continually update them.

Tips on how to enhance career success

1. Start with a positive mental attitude. Several studies showed that most successful managers are not those with great talents. Drive and determination are great determinants of success.

2. Gain the most from today. Wherever you are focus on what you want to achieve everyday. Dont let the day pass without doing something that will lead you to where you want to go.

Tips on how to enhance career success

3. Find meaning by benefiting yourself and others. You will find more meaning in what you do if it benefits you and others. Dont just do things because you have to- create value for yourself and other people.

Tips on how to enhance career success

4. Be flexible to revise your expectations. No plan is cast in concrete. As you go through your career, be wise to see if you have to stick with your plans or revise them to be more realistic. Be open to some changes, as opportunities arise for you to reinvent yourself and move to other areas where you will succeed more.

CONCLUSION
There is nothing complicated about human behavior. Individual behavior; social interaction; large or small group behavior; attempts to control or modify behavior, none of them are complicated. It might be very difficult or impossible to control a person or a groups behavior, but none of the behavior is complicated, human behavior simply is not complicated at all

People are physically doing different things, because different things make different people and even the same people at different times, feel the most emotionally secure at any particular moment But despite the fact that people are doing a wide variety of different things (some of which we love and some of which we hate) people are not fundamentally behaving any differently.

We will be better off as individuals because We will have a much better understanding of our own behavior and the behavior of others And that increased understanding will lead to a reduction of stress in our lives an increase of feeling safe and secure a greater capacity to accept and to work with others, which will lead to better relationships
And all of these will increase our quality of life

CONCLUSION
Success is not a destination-it is a part of lifelong journey. One success leads to another. When you succeed in an endeavor, raise the bar and push yourself to greater heights. Expect that the road will not always be paved. You might have some detours but your constancy of purpose will lead you to SUCCESS!

Take note of this A positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty
