6 Principles of IEM
1. The basic principle:

Tat Tvam Asi : You are that (Supreme)- Everybody can make himself genius. Aham Brahmasmi : I have immense potential. I can make the impossible possible.

2. Why Work?

Atmano Mokshaya Jagat Hitaaya Ca: For my personal growth For the welfare of the world.

Karma Yoga is a good pathway for

Self purification and self development. Individual growth and welfare. Collective growth and welfare. Minimum play of passion, jealousy, hatred, greed, anger and arrogance. Team spirit, team work. Autonomous management, minimum control and supervision. Manager acts as mentor and facilitator.

Self motivation or Inspirational motivation. Perfection or excellence in products and services. Skills and Values united. All round happiness and prosperity. Conflicts resolved by integration.

3. What is work?

Yagnayacharatha karma : Work is to be done with the spirit of Yagna (Teamwork and Selflesses). Parasparam Bhavayantah : Nurture each other (Win-win approach).

4. How to work? Seva + Tyag Serve others. Give your best for the good of others (CSR). 5. Spirit of Work? Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam : Dexterity and Excellence in action in Yoga.

6. The Resources Sukshma or the subtle subjective, intangible factors are equally important than sthula or gross, concrete, objective, tangible factors. Karma-Kshetra is Dharma-Kshetraimplies that one should treat the workplace as sacred and keep it clean and bring in orderliness and cleanliness.

Quality of Work Life and Work Ethic

Why Work? To purify my mind and heart and to become wise. To provide public benefit. What is Work? To nuture each other. My work is a form of Yagna, sacrifice. I develop the spirit of sacrifice. It is a workship of the Divine. How to Work? With the spirit of renunciation, i.e. Tyag and to serve others. I must work without self-interest. Spirit of Work: Excellence in work. Perfection in work and quality of output.

Essential features of Indian Ethos and Insight

The divinity of human being- absence of any thought (stillness of mind). Balance or equilibrium of Indian thought- E.g. desire and desirelessness, material discontent and divine discontent. Individual is taken as the central focus by Indian Ethos- If you are good the world is good. The divine element in the individual- Mutual trust, co-operation, team work, living and working for the public benefit.

Greater emphasis on values, humans and ethics. Knowledge is not power, character is the real power and wealth. Values must be combined with skills. Indian Scripture- Sruties e.g. Upanishads or Gita and Smrutis e.g. Puranas. Eternal knowledge of creation, cosmos and man recognises close interrelation between spiritual and worldly life- Whole Man Approach.

All work is worthy and honourableDignity of work. Sir Aurobindo said Behave as if the Divine Mother was looking at you (as an observer). Indeed she is always present. Divine Mother is Divine Power or Shakti.

Rarely speaks of rights and privileges of an individual, it emphasises only duties and responsibilities- To pay our debts.
Two types of Knowledge- Knowledge of creation or world and knowledge of creator i.e. Divine.

Salient Ideas and Thoughts of IEM- Revealed by our Scriptures

-

Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya Cha: All work is an opportunity for doing good to the world and thus gaining materially and spiritually in our lives.

Archyet dana manabhyam: - Worship people not only with material things but also by showing respect to their everpresent divinity within.

Atmana Vindyate Viryam: Strength and inspiration for excelling in work comes from the Divine, God within, through prayer, holy readings and unselfish work. Yogah karmasu kaushalam. Samatvam yoga uchyate: He who works with calm and even mind achieves the most.

Yadishi bhavana yasya siddhi bhavati tadrishi: As we think, so we succeed, so we become. Attention to means ensures the end. Parasparam bhavayantah shreyah param bhavapsyathah: By mutual co-operation, respect and fellow feeling all of us will enjoy the highest good both material and spiritual.

GEETA SAAR
Whatever has happened, has happened for good. Whatever is happening is also for good. Whatever will happen shall also be good. What have you lost, that you cry for? What did you bring, that you have lost? What did you create , that was

What belongs to you today, yesterday it belonged to someone else. Shall belong to someone else tomorrow, so why worry unneccessarily? Change is the law of universe.

The actions of great men are an inspiration for others

Mahatma Gandhi

Its the action, not the fruit of the action, thats important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there will be any fruit. But that doesnt mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.

To see the universal and all-pervading Spirit of Truth face to face, one must be able to love the meanest of all creation as oneself -Mahatma Gandhi. To one who has faith, no explaination is necessary. To one without faith, no explaination is possible. GOD is present in every living being and he, who serves others, serves

Conclusion

Each and every situation can be met with effectively if one takes time to reflect over it. reflection with a tranquil mind helps in drawing out solution from within.

It leads to a more coherent and complete understanding.

People are now realising that Morals are more important than money, materials, marketing and management.
