This is a process, not immediate (vs. 25) Death is an enemy ruler, it will be put down (vs. 26) No more independent or autonomous rulers, governors, authorities , powers

2. Placing them under the Sons rule

All will be reporting directly to the Son This is the Fathers decree and act (vs. 27)

From the Son to the Father

Delivery of the overall kingdom
To give, or transfer; to put into anothers hand or power; to commit; to pass from one to another.

In the perfect age there is still that distinction between the Father and the Son
The Father will not be under the Son (vs. 27) The Son, the one who delivers The Father, the one who receives

God is immutable

The Father and the Son in Eternity

And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

Son has always been under the Fathers love, from the beginning (John 10:29) This is pertaining to the office and the work; particularly, the work of redemption.
As an illustration only: All humans are same in nature, but some are higher in office failure: two humans are same nature but two individuals, Father and Son are same nature but not two gods

Son subject to the Father

The Father of the husband, together with the husband of the church for eternity (Rev. 21:9) As the temple for eternity (Rev. 21:22) As the light for eternity (Rev. 21:23) As the face of the Father for all Eternity (Rev. 22:1-4)
