Wiring diagrams.
These are functional type diagrams (the wiring diagram for each individual function is viewed) Subdivided into specific categories
Components.
When an electric component in the diagram is selected, the layout of the components connector is displayed, in addition to a list of the wiring diagrams containing the said connector. With the relative key, the user can view the location of the electric component selected in the vehicle.

The external light switch (I004), when closed, sends an earth signal, received from the dashboard wiring earth node (C002), to the Body Computer (M002).
The external light switch (I004), when closed, sends an earth signal, through the dashboard wiring earth node (C002) to the Body Computer (M002). The Body Computer (M002) in its turn, sends an earth signal to the coil for Relay R9
This way, the coil on relay R9 is energised and the relay contact closes, thus supplying power to the fog lights incorporated into the headlight units (G001 RH and LH)

Check that fuses F35 and F15 (relay R9) and the fog light bulbs are all intact
Check the earth signal between pin 1 on connector A for the external light switch (I004) and pin 3 on the earth node (C002)
With the internal light switch (I004) closed, check the earth signal between pin 1 on connector A for the external light switch (I004) and pin 1 on connector A for the Body Computer node (M002)
With the internal light switch (I004) closed, check the earth signal between pin 8 on connector D for the Body Computer node (M002) and pin 15 on connector B for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002), that houses relay R9

Power supply: When the ignition switch (I002) is turned to the ON position, power is supplied directly from the battery to the coil for relay R7. This power line is protected by fuses F19 and F6, housed in the engine compartment branching ECU (B002)
The electronically-controlled gearbox node (M018) sends an earth signal, via pin 42 on connector A, to the coil on relay R7, energising it.
Which condition causes the electronically-controlled gearbox node to generate the earth signal?
The power supply signal sent by the ignition switch (I002) is also used by the electronically-controlled gearbox node (M018)
When the link on the diagram is clicked on, the user accesses the functional diagram page for the electronically-controlled gearbox, where the signal in question is displayed
Once the electronically-controlled gearbox node (M018) receives the power supply signal sent by the ignition switch (I002) to pin 24 on connector B, this generates the earth signal in question.
At this point, relay R7 closes, so sending a power supply signal to pin A on connector A for the starter motor unit (A002).
The power supply signal sent to pin A on connector A of the starter motor unit (A002) allows an electric contact inside the said unit to close. This contact will link the starter motor with a direct power supply signal from the battery (pin 1, connector B).
N.B.: The presence of an earthwards element inside the starter motor unit (A002) lowers the current flowing through relay R7, thereby safeguarding the component.

Check that fuses (F19 and F6) and relay (R7) contained in the engine compartment branching ECU (B002) are in perfect condition
With the ignition switch I002 closed, check the power supply signal between pin 17 on connector C and pin 18 on connector B for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002)
With the ignition switch I002 closed, check the power supply signal between pin 3 on connector B for the ignition switch I002 and pin 24 on connector B for the electronically-controlled gearbox node (M018)
Check the power supply signal between pin 11 and pin 18 on connector C for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002)
Check the power supply signal between pin 11 on connector C and pin 16 on connector B for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002)
With the ignition switch I002 closed, check the earth signal between pin 42 on connector A for the electronically-controlled gearbox node (M018) and pin 20 on connector B for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002) (if necessary, check the intermediary connections too)
With the ignition switch I002 closed, via the jointing D012b, check the power supply signal between pin 17 on connector B for the engine compartment branching ECU (B002) and pin A on connector A for the starter motor unit (A002).
Check the power supply signal between pin 1 on connector B for the starter motor unit (A002) and the battery via the terminal board A004

New standard : The system has been designed taking into account a precise structure, divided into macro groups and functions. In fact, the new electric system, enables every single function to be displayed in terms of electric features. It is fully navigable and, thanks to its structure, offers an extremely efficient and user-friendly approach to the diagnosis.
