FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS OF A WEB BASED CUSTOMIZATION PORTAL FOR SMARTPHONES

PROBLEM STATEMENT
There is no web based mobile customization portal for the Techno-freak college going Indian youth who is often confused while deciding upon the features of their new smartphone. Certain features might be a waste for some customers while there would be some other feature that is indispensable. Hence there is an open window for such a venture. But is the market and the consumers ready for the same. It is a big question mark.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
MAIN OBJECTIVE To study the acceptance of web based mobile

customization portal for the techno-freak college going Indian youth


SUB-OBJECTIVES To determine the different parameters of mobile customization. To study opinions of target sample on the based parameters and study the factors driving those opinions. To suggest an acceptable model for a web based mobile customization.

HYPOTHESIS
H0 no Indian college going students aged between 18 to 30 years would like his/her mobile phone to be customized online.
H0 : p = 0.5 H1 Indian college going students aged between 18 to 30 years would like his/her mobile phone to be customized online.

Result will be in the form of : A survey based conclusion on thaw acceptance of a webbased portal for mobile phone customization. A detailed document of the complete research.

Sample size determination


The population of the target segment that is Indian youth aged between 18yrs to 30yrs is 29,19,72,416. (source: CENSUS 2011, Survey of India) The method of sample determination that shall be used to determine the sample size would be nonprobability convenience sampling.
