Richard Hamilton: ‘Just What Is It That Makes Today’s Homes So Different, So


Appealing? (1956) is one of the earliest works to be considered "pop art".
Reminiscent of the hugely popular paintings by world famous artist

Girl with a Ribbon : Roy Lichtenstein was born on 27th October 1923, and later died
on 29th September 1997; he was a very popular and prominent American pop artist.
Most of his work was influenced from popular advertising and comic books, which he
himself described as being "as artificial as possible".
Roy Lichtenstein used the splash page of a romance story in DC Comics' Secret
Hearts #83 (November 1962), lettered by Ira Schnapp, as the basis for the image.

to artistically render Charles M Schultz's Peanuts characters. Everhart's
fascination with Schultz's style, and his own interpretation of it impressed Schultz
and the two became close friends and collaborators
