When in doubt
If you come across a new verb, assume that it is regular unless there is something to indicate otherwise.

In Spanish, just as in English, the combination of CE sounds like SE [cent, cell, etc.]. Ca, Co, Cu (cat, copy, cucumberK) The C is changed to QU in order to maintain the original pronunciation [CA sounds like KA, but theres no K in Spanish so QU is used].
