IT Initiatives
The BOI organized an IT related investment mission to Jaffna on 21st and 22nd of June with assistance of ICTA and SLASSCOM . The Investment Facilitation Forum Chaired by the Government Agent, for Jaffna Mr. K.Ganesh was held at the Jaffna Kachcheri. A Forum was chaired by the ViceChancellor, Prof. N. Shanmugalingam at the University of Jaffna with the faculty heads and university undergraduates.

IT Initiatives Contd
Details are being finalized to set up IT/BPO investments by several companies MediGain, a successful medical transcription company to set up a high end BPO in Jaffna starting with 150 expanding to 1000.

PC House to set up a 100 seat financial accounting KPO in Jaffna.

Orion City, is working with BOI to establish IT/BPO park in Jaffna to encourage startup & established companies to expand.

Education & Training for skill development
