COURSE OBJECTIVES

to occupational safety and health;


Demonstrate the role and function of safety and health professionals and the value of the team approach to occupational safety and health practice; Demonstrate an effective communication regarding occupational safety and health matter with other professionals, and non-technical people To prepare potential qualified candidates in pursuing registered Safety and Health Officer with DOSH .

Safety and Health Committee Regulation 1996. Control of Industrial Major Accident (CIMAH) Regulation 1997. Notification of Accident, Dangerous Occurrence, Occupational Poisoning and Occupational Diseases ( NADOOPOD) Regulations 2004. Use and Standard of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous To Health (USECHH) Regulation 2000. Classification, Packaging and Labeling of Hazardous Chemicals (CPL) Regulation 1997. Fire Service Act Regulation 1988. Social Security Act 1969 and Employment Act 1955. Petroleum Safety Measure Act 1984 and Gas Supply Act 1993. 100% class attendance is required to sit for NIOSH Exam Minimum achievement of 50% from overall Internal Assessment is consider as PASS

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Participants will undergo 21 days proper In class training which is in combination of : Theory Group discussion Case studies
4 modules will be covered in 21 days

CONSIST INTERNAL ASSESSMENT RESULTS 1. Students who achieve minimum of 50 % above and has fulfilled the requirement of each component ( Course work ) is consider as PASS . 2. Those who score below 50% are consider FAIL and will not be recommended / advise to sit for NIOSH SHO exam .

** SHO Certificate of Attendance will only be issued to participant attending 100% from total classes .
