Chapter I
The Problem and its Background1st Paragraph a kicker of the research, usually written by the researcher. It gives readers a clear view and strong sense of what the researcher will deal about. - Global Setting - National Setting - Local Setting - Rationale/the most pressing reasons why you conduct the study

Theoretical Framework Use applicable theories Justify the relationship of the theories used Cite differences and similarities of the theories Use your theories as bases in the formulation of your conceptual framework

Conceptual Framework - Backbone of the study - composed of Independent and dependent variables - usually the any of the IV or DV represents or reflects the research title

Objectives of the Study (*) \

1. To describe and identify the qualities present in tayum leaves (Indigofera argentea Blanco) as potential indicator of toxins. 2. To evaluate the extent to which different sets of unspoiled food samples reacted with the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator. 3. To assess the extent to which different sets of spoiled food samples reacted with the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator.

4. To define and determine the significant difference between the reactions of different sets of food samples in the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator with respect to color.
5. To analyze the change in color and relate to the level of toxicity of the food samples tested. 6. To formulate a Medium-Term Product Development Plan after the conduct of the experimentation and analysis and interpretation of data.

Statement of the Problem - The first sentence indicates your general objectives -Specific questions to be answered --Questions : descriptive and inferential -- from the inferential questions, hypotheses are formulated

Statement of the Problem (*) This study determined the effectiveness of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) as determinant of toxin which was used as basis in formulating Medium-Term Product Development Plan during the school year 20092010. Specifically, the researcher answered the following questions: 1. What qualities are present in tayum leaves (Indigofera argentea Blanco) as potential indicator of toxins? 2. To what extent different sets of unspoiled food samples reacted with the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator?

3. To what extent different sets of spoiled food samples reacted with the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator? 4. Is there a significant difference between the reactions of different sets of foods in the drops of tayum (Indigofera argentea Blanco) toxin indicator in terms of change in color? 5. How does the change in color of tayum leaves extract relate to the level of toxicity of the food samples tested? 6. After the conduct of the experimentation and analysis and interpretation of data, what Medium-Term Product Development Plan could be formulated by the researcher?

Note: Make sure that in your research procedures, a specific research method has been properly used and applied to accomplish your listed objectives in the Objectives of the Study.

Example Your first objective is 1. To describe and identify the qualities present in tayum leaves (Indigofera argentea Blanco) as potential indicator of toxins. What method or procedure should be used? Is it chromatography, or plant assay (plant analysis)?

-Statement of Assumption is only for qualitative

studies -Significance of the Study -indicates/presents sectors or groups the research will be beneficial - explains how the study will benefit the identified sectors or groups -arranged from top to bottom -by the members of groups the research will be useful

Scope and Delimitation a.Title of the research b.Questions to be answered c.Respondents d.Instruments to be used e.Place and time the study will be conducted Definition of Terms All variables are defined All indicators are defined Used as basis in the construction of the questionnaire

Chapter II Review of Related Literature and Studies

At least not more than five (5) years There should be at least five foreign and local literature and studies Local studies are compared to the present study in terms of: respondents; research instruments used topics; research locale findings and conclusions Synopsis, closing the chapter by citing how relevant the literature and studies are

Chapter III Methodology

Chapter V Summary of Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations

-Brief, concise and use simple words -The number of findings, conclusions and recommendations tally with the number of questions answered stated in the Statement of the Problem. -Conclusions are precise and are written in short sentences -Recommendations start with verbs, feasible and encourage action to readers and future researchers.
