PAUL JENNINGS EARLY LIFE

Paul Jennings was born in England on 30 April 1943.When Paul Jennings was six he left England with his sister and came to Australia in 1949. When he left school he decided to be a teacher he taught at Frankston Teachers College, Kangaroo Flat State School, Frankston State School, Turana Youth Training Centre and Royal Children's Hospital State School in Mount Eliza. He went back to school to study at Lincoln Institute and there I became a speech pathologist. Then I worked as a Lecturer in Special Education at Burwood State College. Then in 1979 I moved to Warrnambool Institute of Adult Education, and worked as a Senior Lecturer in Language and Literature. After a few years of lecturing and writing part time, became a full-time writer in 1989.
