ethos, logos, and pathos.

Persuasion
The ability to change others points of view and
influence their decision making.
To change peoples ideas or thoughts to fit what you want them to be.
To influence someone to do something you want them to do.

Show us knowledge, compassion, sympathy, good character,

They make us trust them because they convinced us they were
a credible person!

The evidence, logic, or reasons an author uses to make
their argument
Uses the facts


Logos
What is comes to mind when you think logos?




They make us believe them because they use facts and evidence
to prove their point.

Logos
emotions
The author uses words or passages to evoke our
emotions.
They make us feel something for their case.
Pathos
Anything come to mind?




They want us to feel for their case! They are using our
emotions against us!
