To introduce students to the concept of Metrology, Principle of Measurements and Measuring Instruments and its applications.
Students will learn to apply the Metrology Principle to understand and quantify the Linear, Angular Measurements, such as Straightness, Flatness, Roundness, etc. Lect. Surface Finish Measurement Terminology, Surface Roughness and Instruments. To introduce students to the concept of Comparators, Interferometer, and Surface Finish Measurement.
