ønalog multimeters, the instruments that are used to
measure electrical quantities such as voltage, current,
resistance, and power signal. Basic functionality includes
measurement of Potential in volts, Resistance in ohms,
and Current in amps. ønalog multimeters are used to find
electronic and electrical problems. In this project, we make
dc ønalog multimeter. Which is mainly use to measure the
current and voltage.
É
ø multimeter can be a hand-held device useful for
basic fault finding and field service work or a
bench instrument which can measure to a very
high degree of accuracy. They can be used to
troubleshoot electrical problems in a wide array of
industrial and household devices such as batteries,
motor controls, appliances, power supplies, and
wiring systems. ø multimeter is a device that can
measure voltage, current and resistance.

øn analog multimeter can be use as-
Ý DC Voltage Measurement
Ý DC Current Measurement
²Þ
Ý jet the range selector to the proper DCV position.
Ý Keeping certain to observe correct polarity, connect the
test leads in parallel to the load to be measured.
Ý Read the value on the DC scale, be sure to use the
correct scale for the range selected.
²ÞÞ
Ýjet the range selector to the proper DC mø
position.
ÝConnect the test leads in series to the load to be
measured. In other words, the meter
ø
ønalog multimeters can measure a range of
different electrical outputs, such as-
~voltage
~current
~resistance
²
Ð ønalog multimeters do take some energy from the
circuit they are testing
Ð ønalog multimeters can sometimes be difficult to read
because they display data as a needle moving along a
scale
Ð To give an accurate reading analog multimeters need a
high level of sensitivityȄotherwise, the results may be
skewed
² Þ
9enerally speaking, analog meter resistance should be
ten times the circuit resistance to ensure accurate
readings. ø high sensitivity is necessary to prevent
upsetting the test circuit. When it comes to price, a
quality analog multimeter will cost about the same as a
digital multimeter. ønalog meters have several
different options for displaying data. However, the
width of the pointer and subsequent vibration can
alter the resolution of a reading. Other common errors
occur as a result of a userǯs inability to read the results
properly.
