WHAT IS WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY?
The terms wearable technology, wearable devices, and wearables
all refer to electronic technologies or computers that are incorporated into
items of clothing and accessories which can comfortably be worn on the
body.

Wearable technology tends to be more sophisticated than hand-held
technology on the market today.

Samsung is a South Korean multinational
conglomerate company headquartered in
Samsung Town, Seoul.
It was founded by Lee Byung chul in 1938 as
a trading company. Over the next three
decades the group diversified into areas
including food processing, textiles, insurance,
securities and retail.
Samsung entered the electronics industry in
the late 1960s.
According to the founder of Samsung Group,
the meaning of the word Samsung is "three
stars". The word "three" represents
something "big, numerous and powerful.

The Samsung Galaxy Gear is a smart watch produced by Samsung
Electronics in the Samsung Gear family of devices.

The device serves as a companion for all Samsung Galaxy smart phones
and tablets which run Android 4.3 or newer; on launch, this included the
Galaxy Note 3.

Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Gear on September 4, 2013.

Pebble smartwatch is developed by Pebble Technology Corporation

The Pebble Watch was designed based on a concept by Eric Migicovsky
describing a watch that could display messages from a Smartphone and
select android devices.

Pebble entered mass production in January 2013 with a planned
production of 15,000 watches per week.

As of February 2014, the Pebble app store had over 1,000 applications.

These include notifications for emails, calls, text messages, social media
activity, stock prices; activity tracking (movement, sleep, estimates of
calories burned); remote control of Smartphone, cameras and home
appliances; turn-by-turn directions using the GPS receiver in the
Smartphone.




SONY CORPORATION
Sony Corporation, commonly referred to as
Sony, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate
corporation headquartered in Knan Minato,
Tokyo, Japan.

Its founders are Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka.

The Sony Group primarily focuses on the
electronics ,game , entertainment and financial
services sectors.

The name Sony is derived from sonus, the Latin
word for sound, and also from the English slang
word "sonny", since they considered themselves
to be "sonny boys", a loan word into Japanese
which in the early 1950s connoted smart and
presentable young men.
