Project Executive
Project Sponsor
Champion the Implementation project.
Create a top-down approach to enable project buy-in.
Perform some interim Project Approvals and be involved in the Project
Review Process.
Steering Committee
Come from areas of the organization impacted by the project.
Collectively, make high-level decisions on the project and provide guidance
to assist the progression of the project.

Make sure the project is meeting its intended objectives from a functional
and strategic point of view.

Project Stakeholders
Provide functional, industry, technical, and customer-specific expertise,
insight, and guidance.

Participate in quality assurance.
Participate in key review sessions.
Provide input and assist in planning activities and steps.
Serve as a liaison between project and department and/or area of
expertise.

Project Management Team
Project Manager
Develop, maintain and distribute the Project Workplan and communicate the
details of the plan.

Assign team members to steps and monitor team progress against the plan.
Resolve or evaluate project issues in the areas of operating policies,
staffing, and project scope.
Conduct scheduled, periodic meetings with the project team, Project
Sponsor, and Steering Committee.
Act as a liaison between engineers and designers and serves as the project
contact person for external (non-project) resources.
Project Administrator
Perform administrative activities, such as maintaining project plans,
coordinating time sheets, and coordinating meeting schedules.

Upgrade Lead
Ensure that all upgrade project activities are assigned to the appropriate
resources and completed on schedule.

Oversee the execution and completion of the tasks documented in the
upgrade instructions.
Lead the upgrade effort performed by the various teams and is responsible
for the overall project and leadership.

Functional Team
Functional Lead
Lead the business analysis effort, as well as the overall business
representation of all the functional areas impacted by the implementation.

Serve as the overall liaison between the organization & the project team.
Business Process Analyst
Provide business representation and leadership for a core functional area
impacted by the implementation and provides overall business process

expertise to the project team.
Attend all of the fit/gap sessions where the majority of business process
discovery will occur.
Update process maps and process dictionary to reflect process changes.
Serve as the liaison between the organization and the project team that
typically consists of both organization and consulting personnel.

Application Specialist
Guide the project team through those steps that require detailed
application functional knowledge and related industry best practices.

May also act as an integration consultant to integrate applications,
particularly across product lines.

Technical Team
Technical Lead
Assure that the integrity of design is maintained across business processes.
Serve as the team lead for a group of programmer analysts.
Install Specialist
Install solution software and ensure that post-installation acceptance criteria
are satisfied.

Programmer Analyst
Design, develops, and tests all in-scope modifications, interfaces,
conversions, and reports.

Technology Specialist
Design and create technology solutions in response to business needs.
Join a project when the solution requires some specific knowledge in
emerging technologies.

Execute and complete the tasks documented in the delivered upgrade
instructions.
Assist in resolving any issues encountered while executing the tasks
documented in the delivered upgrade instructions.

Database Administration Team
Database Administrator
Design and maintain the various database environments required for the
new system.
Migrate data from one database environment to another.
Maintain security for each database.

End User Team
End User - The employees, managers, and executives who will use the
application software once it is deployed.

Participate in Needs Assessment and Fit/Gap sessions.
Provide business process insight and expertise.
Participate in the quality assurance functions.
Participate in testing, and creates and executes test scripts.

Internet Commerce Management Team
Content Manager
Develop the process for content management, including the production,
approval, posting, reviewing, and discarding of content.

Creative Director
Establish website design and architecture standards; hire and manage
graphic designers; oversee design quality, and make final navigational

decisions.

Graphic Designer
Incorporate the vision of the creative team and interface team.
Prepare graphical elements to represent functions throughout the site &
work closely with programmer analyst & creative director.

Integration Engineer
Lead the technical interaction and communication between solutions and all
other collaborative applications with which the portal interacts (legacy

systems, email, calendar applications, etc.).

Interactive Marketing Manager
Oversee online marketing campaigns and monitor brand integrity.
Integrate online efforts and supports sales efforts.
Partnership Development Manager

Promote the development of partner relationships to enhance the
eCommerce offering.
Work with the trading partners to determine technical requirements and
timelines and manage the ongoing relationship with the various trading
partners.

Process Change Management
Organizational Change Specialist
Identify the impact of business process change on the organization and
determine organizational response to these changes.

Develop and implement the organization communication plan.
Work closely with the business process analyst and attend all prototyping
sessions where the majority of business process fact-finding will occur.
Perform quality assurance on the client's business processes and make
sure that all expectations are met.

System Architecture Team
Network Engineer
Lead the design and support of the existing and future LAN and WAN network
architecture.
Conduct circuit needs analysis, prepare and configure the firewall, and perform dayto-day network support activities.
System Architect
Lead the high-level design of the technical solution.
Propose the use of appropriate technology to meet the needs of the organization.
Determine hardware configurations and the number of databases, as well as the
criteria for data sharing and storage.

Web Master
Manage intranet and extranet site activities. Develop and maintain web design and
web architecture design, and maintain web-based content according to established

standards.

System Administration Team
Configuration Manager
Oversee the Scope Change Management (SCM) process for all environments.
Coordinate and manage the application of all object changes, track updates and fixes
throughout the various installation database environments, and act as the approver
for implementing changes into the various environments. Use upgrade tools to
manage the software upgrade process.
System Administrator
Assess the computer-related needs of user community.
Assign user IDs, set up security access and network access, and set up workstations.
Establish system schedules, such as online access "up times," coordinate reporting
needs and special batch execution, and make sure operational activities, such as
backups, are performed.

Test Team
Test Lead
Assure that the project testing approach is complete for all areas of the project,
functional, technical, and process change.

Coordinate with the project manager to complete detailed test plans for all phases of
testing.
Develop the data verification and acceptance methods, procedures for handling test
case failures, issue identification and resolution, and overall project communication
during testing activities.
Integration Test Lead
Coordinate with the Test Lead to complete the detailed test plans for integration test
activities, to define the test execution schedules, and to assign roles and
responsibilities.
Oversee the execution and completion of integration testing, including resolution of
all integration test issues.

Coordinate with the Test Lead to complete detailed test plans for benchmark test
activities, to define test execution schedules, and to assign roles and responsibilities.

Coordinate with the Test Lead to complete detailed test plans for system test

Coordinate with the Test Lead to complete detailed test plans for user test activities,
to define test execution schedules, and to assign roles and responsibilities.

Oversee the execution and completion of user acceptance testing, including
resolution of all user test issues.

Training Manager
Manage the training function, especially for end-user training.
Work with the project team to define training strategy, design and develop end user
training content and delivery, and establish proficiency requirements.

Trainer
Present the training material to the end-user training class participants.
Training Administrator
Administer the enrollment of team members in training courses.
Assess training needs and develop training schedules.
Assist Functional Leads and Business Analysts in the development and deployment
of end-user training.
