Binning Mode

Binning Mode. This controls how the bins are calculated. The options are:
Time. This sorts the values according to the time at which they were
logged and then breaks them into bins of the duration specified in the
Time (ms) setting below. This, together with a bin size of one second
(1000 ms) is the default option. (In a GSM system, this effectively
averages the results of two measurement reports.)
Location. This sorts the values into a geographical grid according to the
Location settings below. Note that the starting point of the grid is defined
by the projection system that you select below. Location binning is useful
when you want to compare network performance over a period of months,
say, or with the performance of a competitor's network. Note that you
cannot display drive test route direction arrows when you display location
binned data on the map.

Binning Mode

Distance. The sorts the values according to the distance that has been
travelled along the drive test route and then breaks them up into bins of
the distance specified in the Distance setting below. This has the effect of
spacing the data points evenly along the drive test route on the map. This
option (with the distance set to 50 or 100 meters) is useful when you want
each bin to reflect a change in the GPS coordinates. Note that distance
binning is not suitable for use with drive test files that have been
superstreamed. See Superstreaming and Binning for more information.
Message. This breaks the sequential message data into bins of a specified
number of messages, starting at the first message. Generally this option is
used with a message number of 1, which is similar to no binning. However,
it is not the same as no binning because attributes that are defined to use
the mode hold binning method will maintain their previous value in bins in
which they do not have a value. This option is useful when you need to
examine a small section of a drive test to solve a very specific problem.

Binning Mode
For example, here is the FileName attribute in our example superstream
displayed on the map when message binning of one message is selected:

We can clearly see the two drive test routes (the first one is shown in green
and the second in pink). Notice that the second route is shorter than the first
route and, because the message bins are in chronological order, we can
display the direction arrows.

Binning Mode
If we now change to distance binning, the display changes as follows:

Notice that the values are scattered in an apparently random manner for the
part of the superstream that represents the start of the first stream and the
whole of the second stream. In addition, the direction arrows cannot be
displayed, because the bins no longer represent a chronological sequence.

Forms and Protocol Stack, arranging

workspace and layoout.
Example of 2 Forms, Map Window and Protocol Stack arranged for analyzing the log
files, you can save your Workspace from File menu it will remember log files loaded
too, if you want to save only windows layout you can do it from View/Screen Layout.

Working with Network Explorer

Creating Cell Data Template from CSV or TXT tab delimited is done in 2 steps.
All fields must be pointed with corresponding column names. If you will keep same
format for source file, you may use created template for updating celref automatically.
