HOW TO MAKE PDH VISIBLE

ON NMS

If only one AMM (Access Module

Magazine) rack present on the site
(a)
(b)

Jack in the SAU IP in the AMM rack at the First position

Connect the Term Serve port of SAU IP with O&M port of any
MMU present in AMM with D - type connector
(c) Pin Configuration for D - type connector should be
2 cross with 2
3 cross with 3
5 straight with 5
(d) Connect one end of the LAN cable at Ethernet port on SAU IP and
other with HUB provided the Modem should be present on that
site

If two or more AMM (Access Module

Magazine ) rack present on the same site

Take one NCC (Node Communication Channel) cable

Connect one end of the NCC cable with any of the MMU
present on AMM 1
Connect the other end of NCC cable with any of the
MMU present on AMM - 2

Two Sites connected via BTSOL media

Connect RAC -1 (Remote Access Channel) port on SAU

with the modem present on site -1
Connect the RAC -2 port on SAU with the modem
present on site 2
Then give the hope ID name on both the SAU according
to their far ends (refer slide-12)

HOW TO MAKE SDH VISIBLE

ON NMS

AT RBSC LOCATION
(a)

Give an IP to TRU with the process

Set Up DCN Interface Ethernet (refer slide -13,14,15)

(b)

Add the Static route via

Set Up DCN IP routing Static Add (refer slide 16,17)
Destination IP = 10.0.16.0
(constant)
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0 (constant)
Default Gateway = 10.20.95.1
(Variable)

(c)

Check that area ID and it should be same for the whole ring
Set Up DCN IP routing OSPF Areas (refer slide 18)

(d)

Give an IP Far End IP via

Set Up DCN Interfaces Far End (refer slide 19)

(e)

Then connect one end of the LAN cable with the Ethernet port on TRU and other with the
HUB along with the modem at that site

If two or more TRU present on Site

Log in 1st TRU which is facing towards RBSC and put
the Far end radio IP as its default gateway
Log in 2nd TRU present on same site and give the 1st
TRU IP as its default gateway
Connect the both TRU with cross cable

HOW TO MAKE TRAFFIC NODE

VISIBLE ON NMS

AT RBSC LOCATION

Give an IP to TN via
Configuration Basic NE (refer slide-20)

Provide the default gateway as 10.20.95.1

Configuration DCN Static Routing (refer slide-21)
Destination = 10.0.16.0
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway = 10.20.95.1

Make the area ID same as that of the ring

Configuration DCN OSPF Routing (refer slide-21)

Connect one end of LAN cable with TN and other with the HUB provided the
modem present at that site

TN along with one TRU

Enable the DCN line in the TRU and mark it as a server

Set Up DCN Interface DCN line RSOH bytes DCN line

Provide the same area ID in the DCN line, in the OSPF

dynamic routing
Then log in the TN
Provide the TRU IP as its default gateway IP

TN along with two TRU

Execute the same settings as discuss earlier in any of
the one TRU
