Your UTS
English language is important for people in advertising industry.

Using English, you can reach / approch global/international

market through advertising. As one of the subjects learnt by
students of SMK Multimedia school is advertising, therefore
English profeciency becomes important / crucial. However,
students in this type of school still have problems in English.
So many things need English in advertising or multimedia.
Therefore, the writer will conduct an experimental research in
SMK Multimedia Izzatul Islam Bogor depend on the problem in
vocabulary learning that has found by the writer observation.
The students of SMK Multimedia Izzatul Islam still weak in
vocabulary. It can be seen from many moments when their
teacher asks about any object but they could not answer it and
they became bored.

 English language is important for people in advertising industry.

Using English, you can advertize/ promote your products

internationally. In Indonesia, there is a vocational school
majoring in multimedia which concern on the design of
advertisement. Based on ........... some students in this type of
school ..............

 People need to communicate each other. In this case, language

is important to be a means of communication. One of the most

well known / widely used language in the world is English.
Therefore, English should be learnt in order to be able to
interact with people around the world. In Indonesia, English is
one foreign language learnt by most student.
Wherever they do, by using verbal language, writing or any
other media, the important of language is people need to
receive and give any kind of information. English is the most
significant subject that poeple learn in the world presently.
English language becomes the most effective tool to
communicate and interact among nations. In Indonesia, English
is considered as the first foreign language because English is
introduced in every level of learners.

 People need to communicate each other. Therefore, they need

languages as means of communication. English is one of the

most widely used language in the world. It is common to see
people from different countries speak in English to interact.
Hence, learning English is important. In Indonesia, English is
the first foreign language studied by most students. Even
students in kinder garten start studing English.

The study is a pre-test posttest experimental research,

effects. The sample was randomly assigned into an
experimental group and a control group.

Teaching materials are developed to facilitate

Example
The instrument in this study is a test of English,

which is used in both pretest and posttest.

In the beginning, there were 30 items in the test. Due
to the reliability analysis during the pilot study, only
20 items are retained in this study. In the pilot study,
the reliability coefficient () is .65. In this study, these
20 item have better reliability coefficient ( = .70).
The content validity analysis shows that these 20
items represent all the course objectives as stated in
the KTSP of English grade blabla

Example
The scores gathered during pretest and posttest in

both control and experimental groups are computed

in SPSS program.
Prior to the data analysis, necessary actions to make
the data ready for the analysis are performed. Those
actions include blablabla. The t-test for the pretest
scores of both experimental and control groups report
no difference between the two. Thus, both groups are
homogeneous, which is an important condition in the
experimental research.
In analyzing the data, t-test was used to compare the
posttest scores.
