Bonding surfaces
Go to profile view of the wedge shape. Make sure
that 0,0,0 point is at the left most, bottom most
point.
Add control point in between forward & middle CPs.
Check the height of newly added CP.
Check the plan view to see the change. Go to
profile view and add CP again in between the
forward two CP.
Go to top view. Change the position of CP to have a
fuller forward shape.
Add another and do the same.

Select the all CPs at the left side (group it, if not
grouped). Double click and change the offset to
500.
Go to surfaces>add surface>transverse plane
Change the name of transverse plane to TS-1
Ungroup the left side CP
Go to perspective view
Select the upper most CP of the left side CP.
Hold shift and select the upper CP (Side one, not
the middle one) of the transverse plane

Now two CP are selected. Free your hand!

Press ctrl+k while two CPs being selected.
Do the same for bottom CPs as well.
Select the two CP of the transverse section
which were not changed. Press ctrl+g
Double click the grouped CP and change the
longitudinal position to 0.

Go to add surfaces>add surface>horizontal
plane
Change the surface name to HS-1
Go to surfaces>move surface>numerical
Move HS-1 longitudinally 10000 & vertically
5000
Go to window>surface. Check the number of
columns for LS-2 & HS-1
Add 3 more CP set to HS-1 (add more if
necessary, make sure that LS-2 & HS-1 has

Go to perspective view. Hold shift, select a CP
from LS-2 first and that select another CP from
HS-1
Go to controls>bond edges>no tangency.
Check also the change for bond edges>approx.
Tangency & strict tangency. But stick on to no
tangency for next step
Go to body plan view.
Double click the CPs of the tops and change the
heights to 2500

Add another horizontal plane and name it
HS-2.
Change the height of HS-2 numerically to
5000
Check the number of columns for HS-2 & LS1
Bond the two surfaces
Change the colour of different surfaces if you
want.

Task
Bond two horizontal planes to the bottom
portion

Hints
Use default surfaces from surfaces>add
shape (cylinder with closed ends). Trim with
another cylinder to make circular hole.
Add horizontal and transverse plane. Trim
those as necessary.
Better to name each surfaces (helps in
trimming)
