Introduction
The mode of transport is one of the most
important criterions these days. The vehicles
safety is thus essential. Accidents are also
increasing at quick pace. There are several
factors which causes this accidents. The proper
inflation is one among them. Tires lose air through
normal driving, permeation and seasonal changes
in temperature. When tires are under inflated, the
thread wears more quickly. Under inflated tires
get damaged quickly due to overheating as
compared to properly inflated tires. The under
inflated tire causes a small depreciation in the
mileage as well. Above all the vehicles running
with under inflated tires can cause accidents.
ABSTRACT
Self inflating tire system is an automatic
mechanism for maintaining proper level of pressure
inside the vehicle tires, or in other words it is an
automatic inflation or deflation system used in
tires. This system reduces the wear of the tread of
the tire and increases driving comfort. It also
increases feel efficiency and ensures safe driving.
The main self inflating used are CTIS and TMS
system.

e System (TMS) is a "smart" system for tractor trailers that monitors tire pressure and
ses air from the trailer's brake supply tank to inflate the tires.

CONVENIENCE
CONCLUSION
Automatic tire pressure inflation system has many
advantageous benefits in the transportation industry.
These benefits include, improved vehicle mobility
due to the increase in traction when tire pressures
are lowered, improved ride quality and cargo safety
due to the reduction in vehicle vibration when the
correct tire pressure is used for a particular road
condition, reduced road maintenance because
sediment production is limited and lowered road
construction cost, increased fuel efficiency and a
considerable increase in the tire life of the vehicles.
