Petro-Canadas Position
Early indications are that Group II base oils
will be even more important with GF-4 than
they were with GF-3. (Sulfur restriction,
low temperature used oil pumpability,
oxidation stability - Group I unfavorable in
each case)
OEMs have stated that GF-4 will be on time!
Petro-Canada is working on prototype
formulations now. Validation testing and
field testing are proceeding.
