Objective
To improve level of understanding on how

to communicate strategically

To promote team work and the importance

of team building to accomplish certain task

To identify the effective of verbal and non-

verbal communication in order to complete

the given task

To understand how difference gender plays

a role using strategy of communication to

accomplish the task

Rules
Each participant will be given a value as follows

:
Ladies 50cents
Gentlement-5cents
1

game committee will be in charge as a

moderator of the game

Moderator will select 1 value and announce the

value loudly

Participants are not allowed to bring any forms

of writing materials (pen/pencil/marker/paper

etc) during group formation
Each participant is required to form a group

depending on the announced value using non

verbal communication (1st round) and verbal
communication (2nd round)

Only non-verbal communication is

allowed during the 1st round of the game

Only verbal communication is allowed

during the 2nd round of the game

Penalties
Participant who is not able to form a

group will be penalized

from a poison bowl

The 13 Penalties
1. You are required to sing a nursery rhyme entitled
Bapaku Pulang dari Kota with an action while driving a
car and wearing sunglasses

2. You are required to sing a nursery rhyme entitled Baa,
Baa Black Sheep with style
**
3. You are required to be a journalist reporting live on
location. News script provided.
**
4. You are required be a sport commentator in the mood
to cry. Reviews on the sports news are provided. Time
to review the news is not more than 3 minutes

5. You are required be a sport commentator in the
saddest mode. Script is provided.

6. You are required to sing and role playing a nursery
rhyme entitled Nenek Nenek Si Bongkok Tiga
**
7. You are required to role play a cartoon character as an
Ultraman who tried to save the planet
**
8. Music will played for you and you need to dance on the
floor for 1 minute

9. Happily announce to everyone that you will lead a chicken
dance exercise.

10. You need to sound like a rooster singing rasa sayang
**
11. You need to read like Datuk Samy Vellu. Script is provided.
**
12. You are ask to use your body gesture & movement in silence
while following an instruction which is represented by picture
of a fruits. The movement will become faster with time
**
13. You are required to imitate the action/sound of a particular
subject according to your own knowledge/understanding when
it is announced
**

Verbal Communication

The basis of communication in this game is

the interaction between people. Verbal
communication is one way for people to
communicate face-to-face and allowing them
to apply some of the key components of verbal
communication like sound, words, speaking,
language and discussion. These could assist
in eliminating misunderstanding and group
could be performed easily.

Non-Verbal Communication

Non-verbal Communication is actually

speaking without words. In this game, the
class used facial expressions, body gestures,
movement and hand gestures as a form of
communication strategy in order to form the
group. It also shows the ability to observe
others and recognized unspoken messages.
Anyhow, non-verbal communication could
lead to miscommunication

Leader Role
Moderator - used communication strategies to

coordinate the game

Leader used communication strategies to force
and convince other class members to form the
group
Followers - just follow orders from the leader or
just follow the majority
Time Keeper - used communication strategies to
identify who to be penalized

Team Work
No team can exist in a vacuum. In order to

work effectively and make this game happen,

team members communicate effectively with
each other
Communicate the clear set of rules and
responsibilities team members need to follow
Everybody participates and enjoy the game
