Colossians 1

1. Everything finds its purpose in Him(15-16)

2. He holds everything together in Him(17)
3. There is room for everybody in Him(18)
4. Everything gets fixed and placed in Him(19)
5. You are brought into Him via the cross(20)
6. Expect the enemy to distract and divert your
attention AWAY from HimDONT QUIT! (21-23)

Colossians 1:21-23
And you, who once were alienated and
enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet
now He has reconciled in the body of His
flesh through death, to present you holy, and
blameless, and above reproach in His sight
if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded
and steadfast, and are not moved away from
the hope of the gospel

 Alienated: to be a non-participant,
estrange
Enemies: to be hostile, hateful, adversarial

What a Saviour!

 Theres only one requirement for the believing heart

who comes to saving faith in CHRIST:
DONT QUIT! If you continue remain, stay
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of
many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end
shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will
be preached in all the world as a witness to all the
nations, and then the end will come. Matt. 24:12-14

greets you, as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas,
Luke, my fellow laborers. Philemon 23,24
Written by Paul during his first imprisonment in
Rome. He was chained but visitors came and
went.

 Colossians 4:10-14 Where Demas stands alone

In this first imprisonment Paul knows hes
going to be released and he is. But he gets
arrested again as Nero steps up persecution.
The church was in grave and difficult
circumstances. Paul saw his future in terms of
glorious deliverance, Demas felt pressure to
quit.

2 Timothy 4:6;9-10
For I am already being poured out as
a drink offering, and the time of my
departure is at hand.
Be diligent to come to me quickly;
for Demas has forsaken me, having
loved this present world, and has
departed for Thessalonica
