INTRODUCTION
H.A.L was established on 1st october 1964 by
Seth Walchand Hirachand with primary motive
of production of Defense and civil aircraft.
H.A.L Lucknow ,an accessories division was
established in 1970 with the primary objective
of manufacturing systems and accessories for
various aircraft and engines .

H.A.L ACCESSORIES DIVISION

LUCKNOW
Accessories Division of HAL was established

in 1970 with the primary objective of

manufacturing system and accessories for
various aircraft and engines and attain self
sufficiency in this area.
Its facilities are spread over 1,16,191

square m. At present it is turning out over

1132 different types of accessories.

Here rough shape is given to raw materials .
Machines available in machine shop are:

SIMPLE LATHE
MACHINE
Alathe is amachine tool which rotates the
workpiece on itsaxis to perform various operations
such ascutting,drilling ordeformationwith tools that
are applied to the workpiece to create an object which
hassymmetry about anaxis of rotation .
Important Parts of lathe machine are

LATHE MACHINE
1. Head stock : The headstock often contains
parts to convert the motor speed into
variousspindle speeds.
2. Tailstock : It is a sliding part opposite to
head stock
and is used to support job while turning.
3. Spindle : Spindle is a rotating component
which hold the job during machining
operation.

MACHINE)
EDM is a electric discharge

machining which is used for

hard metals or those that would
be impossible to machine with
traditional technique .
Limitation of this machining is
only electrically conductive
materials can be machined.
It removes material by series of
rapidly recurring current
discharges between
twoelectrodes .

WIRE CUT EDM

The wire-cut type of machine

arose in the 1960s for the purpose

of making tools (dies) from
hardened steel.
The tool electrode in wire cut
EDM is simply a wire.
A wire-cut EDM machine using the
CNC drawing plotter and optical line follower
techniques that was produced in 1974.

It is the space where tools are made and

repaired for use throughout the rest of the

factory.
There are certain machines to manufacture

the tools according to the requirement.

to the factory floor and production line

LAPPING SECTION

In lapping shop ,Surface finishing

operations are performed by reducing
roughness, waviness, and other
irregularities .

In this shop various machines are there to

perform above operation these are Drilling ,
Boring , Grinder machines .

CONCLUSION
After four week of my training ,I found that
H.A.L is a leading manufacturer of fighter
planes and they also work with new
technology .
H.A.L Lucknow accessories division makes
different product which are needed in planes .
For better performance ,the formed product
are sent to quality control department .the
product are properly checked then they are
sent for assembly.
