Jaw Crusher
A jaw crusher consist of a set
of two jaws ,set to form a V
open at the top. one jaw is
fixed and the other one is
swinging, reciprocates in
horizontal direction by a
cam. The material is
crushed progressively
smaller as it travels
downward until it is small
enough to escape from the
bottom opening. The
greater amount of motion
is at the bottom of the V.

ROLL
CRUSHER
Two heavy smooth faced
rolls turning on parallel
horizontal axes are the
working element of the
smooth roll crusher.
particles of feed caught
between the rolls are
broken in compression
and drop out below. The
rolls turn to each other
with the same speed
and have through large
in diameter, so that they
can nip moderately large
lumps. It produces few
fine pieces.

BALL MILL
A ball mill is a cylindrical
device used in grinding dry
solids. Ball mills rotate around
a horizontal axis, partially filled
with the material to b ground
plus the grinding medium. The
faster the mill is rotated, the
farther the balls are carried up
inside the mill. The shell is
usually steel lined with high
carbon steel plate and grinding
medium can be ceramic balls
and stainless steel balls. The
balls, while in contact with the
walls do some grinding by
slipping and rolling over each
other, but most of the grinding
occurs at the zone of impact,
where the free falling balls
strike the bottom of the mill.

SCREENING
Screening is a method of
separating particles
according to size.
Screens are open
containers with uniformly
spaced openings at the
base; of various mesh
sizes are arranged in a
stake in order of
increasing mesh number
from top to bottom.
Screening is done wet
occasionally but more
commonly dry. Screens
are made from woven
metal wire, silk or
plastic cloth.

Cyclone
separator
Cyclone separator also
called dust settling
chambers utilizes
centrifugal forces for
separation of solid or
liquid particles from a
steam of fluid. The
cyclone movement
given to the dust
particles tends to move
the particles towards
the wall from which
they are directed
towards a solid particles
collecting receiver kept
at the bottom.

They are also

elevators. In a
bucket conveyor
buckets are
attached to a
cable ,chain or
belt are
automatically
unloaded at the
end of the
conveyor run.

Belt conveyor
consist of two or
more pulleys, with
a continuous loop
of material and the
conveyor belt that
rotates about
them. One or both
of the pulleys are
powered, moving
the belt and the
material on the
belt forward.

They are used

industries .they
usually consist
of a spiral
coiled around a
shaft.
