The history of road laws in Malaysia

History of the origins of road construction in Malaysia is not clear.

However the development of modern road system in the country is


said to begin during the British colonization.

Commercial needs and wants to centralize the colonial


administration was accelerate road construction in Peninsular
Malaysia so as to connect the administrative, commercial, industrial
areas, plantation areas and ports.

Before independence, all the roads in this country has been built by
the British.

Therefore, it be the basis for a more systematic approach to the


modernization of the transport infrastructure in this country.
