252 patients were brought in by the Mumbai Police department such

street dwelling seriously sick and wounded destitute persons from

Government hospitals.

Mr. Francis who is working for these destitute males by helping them in
dressing their wounds, giving them medicines from time to time

Few affected people

75 year old (Harish Kunwarji Tanna) has been staying in this Ashram for last 5 years. Being
unmarried, he has none to be taken care in his illness

A patient from Bangkok/Thailand has been staying for last 6 years after he met with the
train accident, lost his documents, didnt have anyone and the railway police brought him
here

Silvai Raj, 76 years from Tirchy is here for last 2 years

A 29 year old boy from Kolkata had come to Mumbai for job and unfortunately met with
accident and has broken his leg and been brought from the street to this place

One person named Shivkumar had his leg amputated as his leg was completely eaten up
worms , which even entered his blood stream and caused more problems

Role of Godrej :

After meeting all these people and distribution of biscuit packets which we carried

During our visit, we met all of them and spoke to those patients. They were more than
happy to see us and speak to us.

One of the patient identified us as Godrej employees and they were very happy and told us
that Godrej canteen provides food snacks to them on daily basis.

It was a surprise to us too. It seems they have been getting help in different forms from
Godrej employees in the past as well as now

We salute Bro.Peter Paul Raj and Mr. Francis who has left his job/career etc. for this human
cause.

A small act of kindness

THANK YOU
