    Granulation is the process of binding particles together to form granules. It can be done through dry granulation using pressure or wet granulation using a liquid binding agent. Granules typically range from 0.2 to 4.0 mm. Granulators are equipment used to reduce larger components into granules. There are two main types: dry granulation which uses no liquid and wet granulation which uses a liquid. Wet granulation methods include fluidized beds, tumbling drums, and mixer granulators. Tumbling granulators mix materials through tumbling action and produce granules from 2 to 20 mm, making them well suited for high throughput applications. Fluidized beds granulate and dry in the same equipment to control moisture levels
