Where are Yokogawa Customers?

End users whose turbine control systems are in the
scope of supply of I&C vendors.
e.g. China, South Africa

Customers who prefer to have both turbine control

system and DCS are supplied by the same vendor.
Captive Power in the Oil & Petrochemical Plants, etc.

Turbine manufacturers who do not have their own

turbine control systems and prefer to collaborate with
I&C vendors. (e.g. Alstom, Skoda, etc.)
Turbine manufacturers find it difficult to catch up with the latest
technologies by their own and seek for alliances with I&C vendors.

Retrofit (Replacement of existing systems)

Where Yokogawa has delivered DCS (and other) systems and the
user is confident about Yokogawas capability and products.

SIL3 Certification

Some customers require SIL3 Certification

for protection modules to shut down turbines
safely. This is not mandatory, however, more
and more customers prefer to have SIL3
nowadays.
(e.g. Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia prefer to have
SIL3. USA, Japan, Asia and China are less strict.)

Governor Control in the turbine control does

not require SIL3 certification, thus Yokogawas
turbomachinery I/O can be applied as they are.
Yokogawa will apply for SIL3 certification in
the future,
