Prevention fact!
Alelyckan Recycling park in Gothenburg prevents 360
tonnes of waste per year by enabling products to be reused
rather than discarded, representing a reduction in
environmental impact equivalent to the greenhouse gas
emissions from 430 cars, each driven 15,000 kilometers.
Approximately 2,200 tonnes of waste per year equivalent
to just over 5 percent of all waste material delivered to
Gothenburgs five recycling centres could be prevented if
these were converted to recycling parks.
In other words, Alelyckan Recyclingpark is a facility that
combines product reuse with waste sorting while
encouraging visitors to contribute to product reuse rather
than merely discarding their waste.
We create jobs for people that have problem to get into the
workmarket, we give them an extra chance

Titanic
Nobody would remember the Titanic today if.... somebody had been on deck early,
right after it'd struck the iceberg, educating everyone about how to properly use the
lifeboat. Telling them about the importance of everyone getting a seat so that the
passengers would not die. Clearly, the Captain and the Crew failed -- they were the
responsible for the passengers deaths. But, what if a passenger had known? What if
a passenger had Google and looked up the proper use of a lifeboat? What then?
Why do I say this?
Our planet is like the Titanic. It is sinking and the people responsible for it are failing
to do enough about it. But, unlike the Titanic, the Earth is taking years rather than
hours to sink.and more importantly, we have Google and Social media to educate
ourselves about the solutions.
Now is not the time to go below the deck and wait for the inevitable.
Now is the time to act.
Now is the time to do something about it.
There is enough time to save it -- I know there is but we have to act now.
We are not the first trying save the world BUT we are part of it today, today we are
sending a message to the world, we are here, we have the knowledge, we have the
energy and we will work for a better world and we will work for a cleaner and more
sustainable world a Zero Waste World.
