Department of Chemistry

Introduction
Our department is established in 1961. we have run post
graduate department M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry successfully for
9 years.
Our ex-faculty member Dr. S. I. Rajput who was Ex-Principal
(Acting) of our college and was selected as a member of peer team
by NAAC, Bangalore .
He has completed two minor research projects related to water
pollution. One student awarded M.Phil. And four students awarded
Ph. D. Under his able guidance.
In July 2009Shri. G. P. Sadawarte (M.Sc. Organic Chemistry) joined
our department who is NET qualified.
Our faculty members of our department are competent to impart
subject knowledge to the complete satisfaction of students.
Two spacious airy laboratories along with well equipped separate
physical laboratory are available for practical work.

Staff Profile continued..

Our faculty members actively participate in syllabus
reframing workshops arranged by N. M. University Jalgaon. All
faculty members have participated in two faculty
development programmes arranged by our institution. Our
faculty members always attend and participate in the national
conferences, workshops, seminars for upgrading their
knowledge. They actively participate in extracurricular
activities organized by college. Our faculty member Miss. S. A.
Muthane has completed M.Phil. in Environmental Science
under FIP and awarded degree in December 2006. We are
helping our students for selection of various courses regarding
higher education in Chemistry. We encourage our students to
deliver seminars on various topics in chemistry for their
personal development. The faculty members give guidelines
to the students regarding preparation of solutions, storage of
chemicals, safety measures required for laboratory etc.
