Holy Orders

A sacrament of Service.
Mean called by God are consecrated to do a
particular kind of service in Christs name
leading and nourishing the Body of Christ with
the word of God and the grace of the
sacraments.

Prayer of Consecration
Are clothed in the official vestments of office.
Anointed of hands
Presented with paten(plate) chalice (cup)
As signs of their role in the Eucharist.

History
First Century
Charisms and shared leadership

2nd to 6th century

Priests along with bishops acted as judges and
