Properties
Glass flooring is fairly simple to maintain.

soft hand during installation.

 Glass floor panels need to be thick enough to take the

weight of standing on them, as well as being made fire
resistant in some circumstances. For this reason, glass
floor panels are generally made up of two or three layers
of glass, sandwiched or laminated together. The upper
layer is the structural, toughened glass, which can take
the weight, while the underside may be fire-rated.
The overall thickness of a glass floor will vary, anything
between 24mm to 46mm, depending on the size of the
individual panels (a larger span requires thicker glass).
The panels are set within a frame, sometimes of
hardwood, but more usually of steel.
