Organization Structure Contd..

As per the New Organization structure in R12 Every Company
is defined as Legal Entity.
Every hotels is defined as an Operating Unit, which is
associated with a Ledger and Legal Entity
There will be a separate Ledger for Each Legal Entity. Hotels
will have restricted access to their own unit transactions. The
corporate responsibilities controlling the accounts of the
Legal Entity will have unrestricted access.
Inter Company transaction across Legal entities will be
handled through the new Intercompany module (AGIS)

Few Instances as to how reconciliation worries are reduced

in
Release 12
Users will not be able to pass journal entries, if the Account is
classified as a Control Account.
All entries for a Control Account must come from a Sub Ledger
only
Straight through processing helps real time and single step
posting to ledgers.
Option to Verify the Accounting before posting has been given
with the introduction of draft accounting feature.
