INTRODUCTION

Welfare is comfortable living and working conditions.


Employee welfare means the efforts to make life worth
living for workman.

Welfare is comfortable living and working conditions.


People are the most important asset of an organization,
and the accounting profession has to assess and record
the value and cost of people of an organization. Once
this is accepted, the need for measuring the value for
recording it in the books of accounts arises.

Employers get stable labor force by providing welfare


facilities. Workers take active interest in their jobs and
workwith a feeling of involvement and participation.
Employee welfare measures increase the productivity
of organization and promote healthy industrial
relations thereby maintaining industrial peace.

INDUSTRY OVERVIEW
In India Brass metal industry are located mainly in the states of
Gujarat, Haryana, Orissa, Assam and Uttar Pradesh.
Jamnagar known as the brass city of India, has been an
important industrial centre since long for brass related parts.
Jamnagar is inhabited by a various types of brass related work
units which include Brass foundry; Brass parts manufacturing,
Electroplating and Extrusion units. There are about 3500 brass
related units alone in Jamnagar.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Devbhumi Metal Products was established in the year 1995
at the farthest western end of India at Jamnagar - a city, famous
the world over as Brass city.
The brass industry serves as a barometer to its economy.
They are undoubtedly placed at the top with an in-house
installed capacity of around 1000 MT (Mettle Toledo) per
month, achieved with state-of-the-art technology.

40%

the workers working are s.s.c or below s.s.c in education.

74% of workers are having working experience of 5-10 years so


workers are more experienced.
60% of workers say that they get medical benefits so it means
company gives averagely medical care.
53% of workers say that they work for satisfactory hours but 11%
are dissatisfied with working hours so company should reduce
working hours.
47% of workers say that they get leave policy.
35% of worker says that they get canteen service in company.

SUGGESTIONS
Company should give educational benefits to the childrens of the
workers.
Company should make rest rooms for the rest of workers.
Company should provide canteen facility in proper way.
Company should start celebrating festivals in the company.
Company should give safety & health facility in proper way.
Company should give leave policy.
Company should give medical benefits to the workers.

LEARNING
To understand the extent which the welfare activities provided by
Pearl distillery limited towards about the various welfare measures
provided to them.
To study how the welfare facilities provided and how it helps in
increasing the productivity and job satisfaction.
To learn how welfare services provided to employees it may help
organization to build up a stable work force by reducing absenteeism
and labour turnover.
To offer useful suggestions for improving the effectiveness of
welfare measures.

BENEFITS
COMPANY
Providing a good employee welfare plan reflects well on
business, building a good company image.
Sales and profit are increased.
To promote employees welfare measures like recreation
facilities.
RESEARCHES
To provide qualitative work environment and work like.
To provide security to the employees against social risk
like old age benefit and maternity benefits.
To protect the health of employees and to provide safety to
the employees against accident.

STUDANT
This can be take different forms such as funds, safety, and
security among others.
It is provided over and above their salaries or wages.
The welfare need not be in form of money, it could also take
the form of insurance, better facilities and even team
building trips and exercises.
In todays world only giving salary to employees is not
enough so some of the essential welfare activities are to be
done for the welfare of employees and as this is the hot topic
in present scenario.

LIMITATIONS

The time constraint is the major limitation of this research.


The research is limited only to the Jamnagar city.
The study base data of the past three or four year.

As majority of the employees of the company, they might


be biased in giving the information.

CONCLUSION
Here researcher has started work & finished.
Research is not put full stop but it is a coma.
In devbhumi Metals labor welfare efforts can and do solve some
of
labor problems that have resulted from industrialization.

Labor welfare is also understood to mean such


services
facilities and amenities which may be established
in on the vicinity of under takings to enable persons there
in to
perform their work in healthy and good morals.

Workers are satisfied with labor welfare activity because


they are getting totally welfare facility and more and more
benefits.
