Burn leaves , not forests

Gheorghe Mihai-Claudiu

Forests cover a third of all land on Earth, providing vital

organic infrastructure for some of the planet's most
diverse collections of life. They support countless species
as well as 7.3 billion people , yet humans are also
responsible for deforestation. There are about 36 football
fields worth of trees lost every minute

Deforestation
There are many causes of deforestation.
Half of the trees illegally removed from forests are used
as fuel.
To make more land available for housing and
urbanization
To create commercial items such as paper, furniture and
homes
To create ingredients that are highly prized consumer
items, such as the oil from palm trees
The main cause is the power of money

Deforestetion
Deforestation has many negative effects on the
environment. The most dramatic impact is the loss of
habitat for millions of species. Seventy percent of Earths
land animals and plants live in forests, and many cant
survive the deforestation that destroys their homes.
Deforestation also drives to climate change. Forest soils
are moist, but without protection from sun-blocking trees
cover they quickly dry out. Trees also help perpetuate the
water cycle by returning water vapors back into the
atmosphere. Without trees to fill these roles, many forest
lands can quickly become deserts.
The deforestation of trees not only lessens the amount of
carbon stored, it also releases carbon dioxide into air.
When trees die, they release the stored carbon.

Why forests are important ?

1. They help us breathe : Just one leaf tree can produce as much
oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year.
2. They're more than just trees : Half of all known species live in
forests.
3. People live there, too : 300 million people live in forests
worldwide.
4. They keep us and Earth cool : Trees absorb CO2 that fuels
global warming.
6. They make it rain : Large forests can influence regional weather
7. They keep dirt in its place : A forest's root network stabilizes
huge amounts of soil
8. They clean up dirty air
9. They feed us : Trees provide fruits, nuts, seeds
10. They give us medicine

They help us explore and relax : Our attraction to

forests is part of a phenomenon known as "biophilia,.
The term "biophilia" means "love of life or living
systems.

They create majesty

Thats why we should stop deforestation , and find new

ways to make money , ways that dont affect us or the
world . We can reduce the level of this , because people
dont need , more parkings , more malls , roads , or
houses that have big prices .
Im not saying that is a bad thing but we have enough
