Storage of Cement

Cement is generally stored in silos.

If bagged cement is used then the cement is loaded using a compressed air
loader and a splitter unit.
Cement is weighed separately. Cement from the silos is transported into a
mechanical or Electro-mechanical weigher by means of a screw conveyor.

Storage of Water

Water is generally stored in tanks located close to the plant.

It is accurately measured by a gauge and a microprocessor
controlled system.
A recording unit calculates the sands average moisture value and
passes on the information to the batching control unit to allow
corrective action to be taken.
The system operates to an accuracy of as much as 0.2 percentage
relative moisture.
Consistency of the mix generally checked by visual observation,
later confirming it with a workability test like slump test.

Aggregates
Aggregates

storage is done in various ways

depending on the type of plant.
There are three types of plants generally in use.
1. Vertical batching plant
2. Horizontal production plant
3. Horizontal mobile plant

and installation.
They have inline silo or star pattern storage bin for
storage of aggregates.
The inline storage- system has only capacity of 40
to 180 cu.m.
The aggregates are weighed on an
electromechanical weigher belt.
