headquartered in San Jose Calif0rnia.

Dellis subsidiary of this company from


2012 to 2016, sells a range of Internet
appliances primarily directed atcontent

Brothers Sreekanth and Sudhakar Ravi founded the


company under the name "Sonic Systems" to
developEthernet and Fast Ethernet cards, hubs and
bridges

1990s

In the late 1990s the company released a security


product later branded "SonicWALL": a dedicated
hardware appliance with firewall and VPN software
intended for the small-business market.

1999

In November 1999 SonicWall went public (SNWL)

2001

SonicWall upgraded its Global Management System


(GMS) software to manage more VPN devices

2003

Matthew T. (Matt) Medeiros (formerly of Philips


Components) became CEO in March 2003. SonicWall
acquired a number of companies through the years,
expanding its product line in the process.

2010

On July 23, 2010, SonicWALL announced that it had


completed its merger with affiliates of an investor
group led by Thoma Bravo, LLC, which includes
theOntario Teachers' Pension Plan through its
private investor department,Teachers' Private
Capital. After the merger SonicWall was delisted
fromNASDAQ.

2012

On March 13, 2012,Dell announced that they had


signed a definitive agreement to acquire SonicWALL

2016

On May 20, 2016,Dell announced the sale of Dell


Software Group (which includes SonicWall) to private
equity firm Francisco Partners and Elliott
Management

SonicPoint ACe can achieve a data rate of up to
1.3 Gbps while maintaining a higher performance
level at greater ranges.

Flexible deployment

SonicPoint ACe can receive power from Ethernet and


Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) cabling through an 802.3 at
Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector, as well as directly
through an AC adapter.

As a plenum rated access point, the SonicPoint ACe


can be safely installed in air-handling spaces, such as
in or above suspended ceilings.

Discreet deployment
options

With dimmable LEDs (excluding power),


SonicPoint ACe fits seamlessly into environments
that need discreet wireless coverage.

Enhanced signal quality and


reliability

The 802.11ac wireless standard operates in the 5


GHz frequency band, which is less prone to signal
interference, thus enhancing signal quality. Dual
radios, six external antennas and 3x3 MIMO
result in more reliable wireless coverage.
