The Church of England (aka the Anglican church) is the
official, or established, church of the English people
specifically.
The Church of Scotland, which is Presbyterian, is the
established church of Scotland. There are also several
other Protestant group, namely Baptists and Methodists.
Like in the U.S, there is total religious freedom in the
United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom is the worlds oldest industrial
nation. Its not the center of a huge empire anymore, but
its still one of the worlds most important nations for
trading.Thats because it has to import many of the raw
materials it needs for its industries. The UK also imports
most of its food.
Service industries are the largest section of the UK
economy. More then two-thirds of the labor force are from
service industries!

Life in the United Kingdom

British culture has always been by that of the rest of Europe. For
example, The Gothic style of architecture, which is originally French,
strongly influenced British architecture, as well as Italian Renaissance
style.
Throughout the UK, Britains ancient ceremonies and festivals are still
celebrated. They offer poetry, concerts, and several other events.
The government is run by the Prime Minister(current one David
Cameron), Deputy Prime Minister(current Nick Clegg), and The
Cabinet.
The Prime Minister is responsible ,ultimately, for all policy and
decisions. He is the head of government, but not of state, as the head
of state is The Queen.
The Deputy Prime Minister is like, but not identical to, the Vice
President. He is responsible for political and constitutional reform. He
is consulted on all decisions made by the Prime Minister.
The cabinet is made up of the senior members of the government.
Members of The Cabinet meet every Tuesday to discuss what the
most important government issues are.
