WHAT IS
TELECOMMUNICATION??
INTRODUCTION
In

its simplest form, telecommunication means communicating

with others across long distances.

When

you think of telecommunications today, you think cell

phones and networks, but jungle drums and the telegraph were
both
forms
of
telecommunication.
Today,
long-distance
communication is a combination of satellites, medium devices
and wireless transmission towers.

What

this means is that you, as the user, employ a computer

modem, cellular phone or some other device to connect with
another user's device in a network linked by satellites and wireless
signals or cable, such as telephone land lines.

FUNCTION
In general
1. Allow us to communicate with
others from a long distance.
2. Get latest news or find some
information.
3. Using it as a business platform.
4. Make the work progress more
efficient.
5. For safety purpose.

OPERATION

between enterprise users on local

TELEPHONE
When

a person speaks into a

telephone, the sound waves created
by his voice enter the mouthpiece.
An electric current carries the sound

Two

catagories :

- The horizontal supply (distribution

at each floor level). In most cases a
high voltage
-The vertical supply system (rising
mains).

The horizontal supply

This is due to the high voltage
condition that may used in high rise
building
To prevent overflow current and
shock circuit and burn


THE VERTICAL SUPPLY SYSTEM (RISING MAINS)

allow the installation of telecom
cables from the main telecom room

LOW RISE BUILDING

The

distribution is, from the

underground cable to the
manhole and then to the cabinet,
before to the distribution point
(overhead pole )
The overhead pole will distribute
straight forward to the low rise
buiding, inside of the building
