Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)


Educational program first published in 1987
Jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics
(AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA)

Evidenced based approach to the resuscitation of


newborns for hospital staff who care for babies at the
time of delivery
28 years: 3.4 million trained in nearly 750,000 courses

NRP Vision: A qualified team for every resuscitation or


anticipated resuscitation, a qualified individual for every
delivery.
NRP Mission: To develop an education program for
health care professionals that promotes optimal care
and resuscitation of newborns.
