Exams
Two exams: a midterm and a final
(the final exam will be partially
cumulative)
Midterm 50 questions (100 points)
Final 75 questions (150 points)
Exams will be multiple choice
You must bring your own scantron (no. F-288-PAR-L) , a photo
ID, a #2 pencil (or TWO!), and an eraser.
Exams given ONLY at scheduled dates and times:
MIDTERM
: Thursday, October 27 @ 8:00am
FINAL
: Tuesday, December 6 @ 8:00 am

Grading
Grading follows a standard curve:
No A+ grades will be awarded
250 possible points

Extra Credit
There will be eight (8) possible extra credit points.
Two ways to accumulate extra credit points:
Participation in laboratory experiments. You will
receive 2 extra credit points for each half-hour of
experimental participation, up to a maximum of 2
hours (8 points).
Question writing. You may also write multiple choice
questions. You will receive 1 point for each 5
questions you turn in (see syllabus for requirements
and format of questions!).

Adding the course
Weeks 1-2: WebReg (can add to waitlist if full)
Weeks 3-10: submit enrollment exception request via StudentAccess

Dropping the course


Weeks 1-2: WebReg (no approval needed)
Weeks 3-6: submit enrollment exception request via StudentAccess (will require
approvals)
Weeks 7-10: same process as weeks 3-6, but student will receive a W on
transcript

Change grade option


Weeks 1-2: WebReg
Weeks 3-10: submit enrollment exception request via StudentAccess (will require
approval by dean of students major)

Academic Dishonesty

Unacceptable and will not be tolerated


Academic dishonesty includes:
Cheating
Forgery
Dishonest conduct
Plagiarism
Collusion in dishonest activities

Academic dishonesty will result in a grade of F without the


opportunity to retake the course.
