Walking with Jesus, walking every day

All along the way. Walking with Jesus.
Walking with Jesus alone.
Walking in the sunshine, walking in the
shadows Walking every day, all along the
way
Walking in the sunshine, walking in the
shadows. Walking with Jesus alone.

A Walk with
God
Invitation: To whom?
All who need a
simple, yet exciting and
Invigorating, approach
to personal devotions

A Walk with God

This is an invitation
to a life-changing
approach as we
learn to be in
constant
fellowship with
our best Friend
Jesus, for building
a meaningful
fellowship and
relationship with
Him.

O house of Jacob,
Come ye, and let
us walk in the
light.
Isa. 2:5, NIV

Come to me all ye
who are weary
and who carry
heavy burdens,
and I will give you
rest. (Matt 11:28, NLT)
Come, learn of me
for I am meek and
lowly in heart
(Verse 29)

EARLY MORNING
STUDY OF THE
WORD OF GOD

For I know the plans I have for you,

says the Lord. They are plans for
good and not for disaster, to give you
a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11, NLT

DEVOTIONAL
STUDY

LOVE LETTERS
(favorite Bible version)

If

you wait for perfect

conditions, you will never get
anything done.
Eccl. 11:4, NLT

WHISPER
A PRAYER
OF THANKS

I will exalt you, my God

the King; I will praise
your name for ever and
ever. Great is the Lord
and most worthy of praise;
His greatness no one can
fathom. Ps. 145:1-3, NIV
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his
love endures forever. Ps. 118:1, NIV

Choose a love
letter that
you
want to meditate
on.

Write down
todays date
the Bible text
(Mark 10:46-52)
Then copy the
story or verse you
have just read.

This approach to
Personal
Devotions is not
to seek
information but
to deepen a love
relationship with
Jesus.

The following techniques may enhance

the listening-interacting process:
Read aloud or silently. What is in the story that
makes you wonder?
Write down anything the Holy Spirit impresses
you with.

Techniques to enhance the listeninginteracting process (cont.)

If you have questions or reactions,

ask Him. Feel free to open your heart
because He understands your cares and
burdens and shares in your joys and
blessings.
Express what you feel about the passage
your reactions. You may even describe
the smell, the colors, etc., when
appropriate.

Be aware that
you are walking
and conversing
with Jesus.
Remember that
Jesus is an
active listener.

Take a personal role in the story or

text youre reading. Which
characters part would you like to
take, that of Mary Magdalene,
Rachel, Ruth, Queen Esther, blind
Bartimeaus, or one of the disciples?
Extract the gist of the story. Reflect
about it, and digest it.

Whatever He
impresses upon
you, just write it
down. (Dont be
concerned about
your penmanship;
the notes are just
for personal use.)
Your goal is not to
gain information but
rather to build a
strong relationship
with Jesus.

Allow Jesus to
speak to you.
Listen and write
down your ideas.
Remember, the
Holy Spirit is the
best Teacher. He
will impress you
with the lessons
you personally
need.

Write down your

response. . .
its your prayer
to Him.

By meeting your
appointment with
Him regularly,
you will notice
a change in
your life.

Lets not become

weary
in
our
walk
with God.

Maintaining a close walk with God is

a Biblical command we must obey,
not merely a suggestion we may want
to consider.
I am God Almighty; walk before me
and be blameless. Genesis 17:1

THE VALUE OF BIBLE STUDY

God speaks to us in His Word
We become acquainted with
the Saviour
Gives tone and strength to our
spiritual nature
Great truths are made as clear as
noonday

VALUE OF BIBLE STUDY (cont.)

Nothing more calculated to
strengthen the intellect
Elevates the thoughts
Gives vigor to the faculties
We gain breadth of mind, nobility of
character, and stability of purpose.

Enochs continuous
manifestation of his
faithfulness to God for over
three centuries speaks
encouragement to fellow
Christian believers who find it
difficult to walk with God
for even just one day.

The life of Enoch is a living

example for us modern
Christians to emulate.
We, too, could be modern
Enoch, by Gods help, if we
determine and persevere to
have a constant communion
with the Lord.

Now, let us try!

MARK 10: 46-52

Make your Bible study

an Experience with
God, not a research
project.
