British food has traditionally been based on beef, lamb, pork,
chicken, fish and generally served with potatoes and
one other vegetable.

The most common and typical foods eaten in Britain include


the sandwich, fish and chips, pies like the cornish pasty,
trifle and roasts dinners.

Bubble and squeak is a traditional English dish made with


the shallow-fried leftover vegetables from a roast dinner.
The main ingredients are potato and cabbage, but carrots,
peas, or any other leftover
vegetables can be added.
